Rocher Group is carrying out a profound restructuring of the Sabon brand, relocating full production to France and terminating operations in Israel. The strategic shift includes closing the production site in Kiryat Gat and gradually relocating the headquarters, impacting approximately 270 jobs. Simultaneously, the brand is focusing on expansion in Asian markets, where it has increased its international footprint in recent years. Sabon, currently representing 6% of Rocher Group’s revenue, has doubled its sales between 2019 and 2024, with online sales now accounting for 25% of total revenue.

Strategic Restructuring

Rocher Group has decided on a comprehensive restructuring of Sabon, moving entire production to France and discontinuing operations in Israel [1]. The restructuring will include closing the production facility in Kiryat Gat, which will affect approximately 270 jobs [2]. The company will gradually wind down its Israeli facilities, with the expectation that the complete production transfer to France will be completed by June 2026 [3].

International Expansion Strategy

Parallel to the restructuring, Sabon is focusing on expansion in Asian markets [4]. The brand has managed to double its sales between 2019 and 2024, with online sales currently representing 25 percent of total revenue [5]. Sabon, which currently represents 6% of Rocher Group’s revenue, is active in 10 countries with 193 stores [6].
