Mango has achieved a strategic breakthrough in sustainable fashion production by entering into a unique partnership with Circulose. The Spanish fashion brand is the first to directly integrate regenerated cotton fibres into its production process, marking a significant step towards a more circular textile industry. This collaboration fits into Mango’s ambitious sustainability strategy to exclusively use fibres with minimal environmental impact by 2030. By recycling cotton fibres from textile waste, Mango creates an innovative production model that not only saves raw materials but also substantially reduces CO2 emissions in the supply chain. The first collections with these recycled materials will be launched in the coming months.

Strategic Sustainability Partnership

Mango has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with Circulose, becoming the first brand to directly integrate regenerated cotton fibres into its production process [1]. This strategic step underscores Mango’s ambition to exclusively use fibres with minimal environmental impact by 2030 [2]. Andrés Fernández, Director of Sustainability and Procurement at Mango, emphasises that this partnership represents a crucial milestone in their pursuit of a circular and responsible fashion ecosystem [1].

Innovative Recycling Process

Circulose produces its material entirely from discarded cotton textiles, creating a soluble pulp that replaces new raw materials like wood pulp or cotton [3]. The process enables the production of regenerated fibres such as viscose, lyocell, modal, and acetate, which can then be used in high-quality textile products [3].

Financial and Sustainability Performance

Mango has shown impressive growth in 2024 with a revenue increase of 7.6 percent, resulting in a total revenue of 3.339 billion euros [4]. The company, founded by Isak Andic in 1984, is now present in over 120 markets with a network of more than 2,800 sales points [4].
