Milaan, maandag, 23 juni 2025.
Three promising designers - Simon Cracker, Saul Nash, and Magliano - have radically pushed the boundaries of men’s fashion during Milan Fashion Week. Simon Cracker surprised with a fully recycled collection inspired by Martin Margiela, using damaged fabrics from the Emilia-Romagna flood region. Saul Nash presented a sporty and sensual collection in a former Milanese nightclub, while Magliano chose a cinematic approach with an 8-minute film called ‘Maglianic’. These designers demonstrate not only technical ingenuity but also a deeper reflection on fashion as an expressive form that goes beyond traditional catwalk presentations.

Innovative Collections at Milan Fashion Week

During the Milan Fashion Week for the spring-summer 2026 collections, three young designers - Simon Cracker, Saul Nash, and Magliano - have radically pushed the boundaries of male fashion [1][2]. Simon Cracker presented an avant-garde collection at the Fondazione Sozzani in the Bovisa district of Milan, directly inspired by Martin Margiela, who is considered the ‘last true fashion pioneer’ [1].

Simon Cracker: Upcycling as an Art Form

Simon Cracker’s collection distinguished itself through its fully recycled and zero-waste pieces. Notably, it used a cotton jersey fabric damaged during the 2023 Emilia-Romagna floods, which was subsequently washed, revitalised, and dyed [1]. Simone Botte, the founder, emphasised transparency: ‘We didn’t want to copy Margiela, but to speak his language by highlighting details’ [1].

Magliano: A Cinematographic Approach

Magliano chose an innovative presentation by replacing the traditional fashion show with an 8-minute film called ‘Maglianic’, directed by British filmmaker Thomas Hardiman [2]. Luca Magliano explained: ‘The current crisis situation reminds us of the Covid period. We wanted to create a kind of sabbatical collection that breaks with conventions’ [2].

Saul Nash: Sport and Sensuality

Saul Nash chose the Teatro Principe, a former Milanese nightclub, to present his collection. His designs combined sporty elements with a sensual touch, accompanied by refined couture details [1].
