International Men's Fashion World Gathers in Italy: Pitti Uomo and Milan Fashion Week
Florence, vrijdag, 13 juni 2025.
The international men’s fashion world is preparing for two prestigious events from 17 to 24 June, featuring Pitti Uomo in Florence and Milan Men’s Fashion Week. Despite lower attendance compared to previous years - with approximately 750 exhibitors, 43% of which are international - it remains a strategic platform for fashion brands. Notably, Tommy Hilfiger’s return after eight years, the honorary representation of Issey Miyake, and the addition of new brands like Paul Smith and Setchu stand out. The event reflects the changing dynamics in the fashion world, with established brands such as Dolce & Gabbana and Prada absent this season.
Pitti Uomo: International Fashion Exhibition with Changing Dynamics
The upcoming edition of Pitti Uomo will take place from 17 to 20 June 2025 in Florence and is expected to feature 322.5 international exhibitors. Notable guests include Tommy Hilfiger, returning after eight years of absence, and Homme Plissé Issey Miyake as the guest of honour [1][2]. In addition to these prominent brands, international designers such as Niccolò Pasqualetti, Post Archive Faction (PAF), and Children of Discordance will also present their collections [2].
Milan Fashion Week: Shifting Brand Participation
The Milan Men’s Fashion Week from 20 to 24 June 2025 is characterised this season by a lower profile, with only 81 events including 44 presentations, 17 events, and 15 fashion shows [1][2]. Notably absent are established brands such as Zegna, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, and Prada [1][2]. In contrast, the event welcomes new participants like Paul Smith, the Japanese brand Setchu, the revived label Fiorucci, and the Emirati fashion brand Qasimi [1][2].
New Perspectives and Anniversaries
The fashion week will also commemorate some special anniversaries, including the 30th anniversary of Dsquared2 and the 40th anniversary of Jacob Cohën [1][2]. Returning designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Spanish designers Miguel Vieira and David Catalán will also be present, indicating a dynamic and resilient fashion world [1][2].
