Under the leadership of founder Cristina Delgado, the organisation demonstrated its growing influence in the sector by emphasising female leadership and professional sorority. With over 300 members, WiR has positioned itself as the most prominent community for female retail professionals in Spain, focusing on talent development, strategic partnerships, and visibility of female potential in the retail industry.

Women in Retail (WiR) celebrated its second anniversary on Thursday, 19 June, with a private event on the rooftop of Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. More than 400 retail professionals came together to mark this milestone, highlighting the organisation’s growing influence in the sector [1][2].

Founded in 2023 by Cristina Delgado, WiR has developed into the largest community of female retail professionals in Spain. The organisation now counts more than 300 members - both men and women - who are committed to change and empowerment in the retail sector [1][2].
Achieved Results
Over the past two years, WiR has achieved significant milestones, including the development of a Retail Governance Code, which has been adopted by numerous companies. Additionally, the organisation has expanded The New Retail Business School, where over 200 professionals have been trained. WiR also organised the second edition of Retail Street Talent, with participation doubled [1][2].
