Milaan, vrijdag, 13 juni 2025.
The international fashion world is focusing on Italy this summer, where Pitti Uomo in Florence and Milan Fashion Week form a spectacular duo of events. From 17 to 24 June, 15 fashion shows will present the latest collections, with renowned designers like Issey Miyake and Paul Smith as central figures. Notably, there is a shift in the fashion landscape: major brands such as Zegna and Dolce & Gabbana are absent, while new talents like Setchu and Fiorucci are given space. The event promises an intriguing mix of established fashion icons and emerging designers who will explore and define the future of men’s fashion.

Pitti Uomo: The International Fashion Gathering

The Pitti Uomo event, taking place from 17 to 20 June in Florence, welcomes 750 exhibitors this season, of which 43% are international. Notable participants include Tommy Hilfiger with a new menswear label, Issey Miyake as guest of honour, and emerging designers such as Niccolò Pasqualetti and Post Archive Faction (PAF) [1][2].

Changing Fashion Landscape

Milan Fashion Week sees a significant shift: established brands like Zegna, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, and Prada are absent this season. New talents are taking their place, including Setchu from LVMH Prize winner Satoshi Kuwata, the relaunched Fiorucci label, and Qasimi from designer Hoor Al Qasimi [1][2].

International Diversity

The event emphasises international creativity with collective presentations, including ‘Code Korea’, Scandinavian designers, Japanese crafts, and Chinese menswear. Paul Smith returns to the catwalk with a collection in his Milan showroom on 21 June [1][2].

Event Statistics

Milan Fashion Week presents 81 events this season, including 44 presentations, 17 events, and 15 fashion shows. Additionally, 5 digital shows are planned for the closing day on Tuesday, 24 June [1].
