Retail Giant Ahold Delhaize Appoints Former Rabobank Executive as New Supervisory Board Chair

Wiebe Draijer, former CEO of Rabobank, is set to take on a crucial leadership role at Ahold Delhaize. He will be proposed as a new Supervisory Board member and future chair during the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting on 8 August. He will succeed Peter Agnefjäll from 1 October, who will be handing over his supervisory role. Draijer is enthusiastic about supporting the ‘Growing Together’ strategy and further strengthening the market position of the retail group, which manages brands like Albert Heijn.
Appointment at Ahold Delhaize
Wiebe Draijer, former CEO of Rabobank from 2014 to 2022, has been nominated as a new member of the Supervisory Board (RvC) at Ahold Delhaize [1]. The extraordinary shareholders’ meeting on 8 August will ratify his appointment [2].
